@rcopo69 – Hello: Is this a true factory 1967 through 1969 302 or DZ block engine, or is this a custom built aftermarket 302 engine ???? And if it's a custom built aftermarket 302 engine, is the block a 2 or 4 bolt main engine, and is there paper work showing the internals used and how this 302 was done ???? Thank You, Rick S. ...
Rick, great question! The car is on consignment with us and the seller obtained the car as it sits, not sure if it was a crate engine or an era correct 302. Please check out the picture below of the casting numbers, you sound like a gear head type of buyer and would appreciate any feedback or knowledge that you can share. I am getting opposite answers when doing research - for example : The 3970010 engine block casting number does not mean 350. It could be a 327, 302 or 350, 2 or 4 bolt main from 1968 thru 1978. All it can tell you for sure is that the block is a 4 inch bore. Appreciate your interest!
