This 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V shows 22k miles and is one of 273 produced for the year in its particular paint and trim. Power is provided by a matching-numbers 400ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, and features include a landau roof, leather interior, factory air conditioning, a modern infotainment system with backup camera, and upgraded audio, and fob-operated automatic door and trunk locks. This white over midnight blue Mark V has been with the seller for eight years and is offered with a Marti Report and a clear Maryland title in the seller’s name.
The body wears its original white finish (5418-A) with a White Valino landau half-roof and chrome trim. Features include signature retractable quad headlamps, fender vents aft of the front tires, and a faux continental kit at the rear.
Factory 15” wheels with polished covers wearing the Lincoln emblems are wrapped in whitewall tires installed in 2013. Very few miles have been added in the eight years since.
Interior features consist of a power Midnight Blue leather bench up front with folding armrests and matching carpet and door panels. The dash is trimmed in wood grain applique, and the car is equipped with factory air conditioning. Seller upgrades include a modern audio system wired to Bose speakers and amplifier, an integrated backup camera, and automatic door and trunk locks with a remote fob. A factory space-saver spare tire is installed in the trunk, and the seller reports that while the passenger-side mirror toggle switch is not operational, the mirror can be moved manually.
Instrumentation is framed by a 2-spoke steering wheel and consists of an 80-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel gauge. The 5-digit odometer shows just over 22k miles, which the seller states are original to the vehicle.
The 400ci Cleveland V8 has been upgraded with electronic fuel injection, and it sends power to the rear wheels via a 3-speed C6 automatic transmission and a 2.47:1 standard axle.
