Vehicle Story

This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe shows 79,820 original miles has been with the seller for 20 years. The big-block 454ci V8, which has replaced the original L36 427/390, is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and refreshed with a new Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Breakerless ignition, and a refurbished radiator. Other work has consisted of new tires, carpet, and suspension bushings. This C3 has removable T-tops with the original storage bag and is now offered with a clear Michigan title in the seller's name.

Finished in Le Mans Blue with chrome wheels and trim the exterior features “Stingray” insignia, side gills on the front quarters. and dual exhaust exits at the rear. Factory removable T-tops are equipped and can be stored in the original bag when not in use. While the pop-up headlights and windshield wiper cowl are operable, the seller reports both require a push to close completely. A small stress fracture is noted on the top of the driver’s side front fender.

A new set of Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires were installed over stock wheels in 2020, and the suspension bushings were replaced in 2013. The car left the factory with power rack-and-pinion steering and manual brakes.

The interior is trimmed in body-matching blue with vinyl bucket seats, a matching dash, a center console, and an 8-year-old carpet. Factory manual crank windows and locks are fitted, as is an AM/FM radio.

A black 3-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, inside which is the odometer showing 79,820 miles. The seller reports that the reading is accurate.

A 454ci big-block Chevrolet V8 has replaced the factory 427/390, and it sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual gearbox. Moroso valve covers are installed, and a new Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Breakerless ignition conversion, and fresh radiator were added in 2013. The seller reports that the car runs cool even while in stopped traffic.

The “69CVETT” vanity license plate will be offered to any Michigan buyer. A start-up video is available for viewing below.
