This 1965 Chevrolet C10 fleetside shortbed was painted 3 years ago in black and white two-tone and was purchased and restored by the seller 8 years ago and driven approximately 1,470 miles. Power comes from a fully built 350ci V8, with upgrades consisting of an All new CCP Suspension in the front and rear, MSD ignition system, CCP Break Booster, March performance pulley system, and Iron Eagle heads. Power is transferred to the rear by a rebuilt 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission with a B&M Stealth Pro Ratchet Shifter and 12 bolt 373 posi-traction rear axle. This first-generation C/K-Series pickup is now offered with a clear California title in the seller’s name.
The C/K-Series line of Chevrolet pickups first debuted in 1960, riding on a drop-center ladder frame and available in stepside or fleetside body configurations. This C10 fleetside received a full restoration and is finished in white with a black cab top. Custom treatment includes a 3” drop in the front, and the frame has been notched in the rear to accommodate the 5” drop. Other features include a Roll pan in the back, 2.5” exhaust with flow master Mufflers, and a steel cowl hood.
Aftermarket 18” five-spoke wheels with red front brake calipers are wrapped in Boss tires.
The interior is trimmed in custom-upholstered black and gray vinyl bucket seats with matching dash pad and carpeting. The door panels are finished in black with gray inserts, and installation features includes a PA system with speakers, 4 train horns from Horn Blasters, a new Vintage Air under dash heater, and all new wiring from American Autowire, with all coper ground system.
All new gauges, including an Autometer Phantom II are housed within an aluminum bezel and communicate information via a 160-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The mechanical odometer currently shows approximately 1,740 miles, although true chassis mileage is unknown.
The rebuilt 350ci V8 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock intake manifold and a Fi-Tech fuel Injection carburetor. The cooling system features an aluminum radiator and electric fan. Visible within the engine bay are a polished brake booster and master cylinder, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and a posi-traction rear axle.
