This 1989 Toyota Celica GT is a 63k-mile original, unmodified convertible powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. It was originally sold in St. Louis, Missouri, and later relocated to Virginia where it has spent the last 22 years. Finished in black over a gray cloth interior, this Celica is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clear Virginia title.
The body is finished in Black (902) with a red pinstripe and a white power-operated cloth convertible top. Exterior features include pop-up headlamps, an integrated air dam, and matte black side moldings and bumper rub strips. Factory-optioned mudguards are installed, and a high-mount third brake lamp is affixed to the trunk lid.
Factory 13” 8-spoke polished aluminum wheels are wrapped in 185/70 tires of unknown brand and age. Handling is managed by front discs and rear drums and an upgraded Tokico suspension.
The two-tone interior has gray cloth bucket seats and door panels, and a contrasting black dashboard and carpet. Amenities include power windows, power door locks, air conditioning, and cruise control.
Instrumentation is framed by a 3-spoke steering wheel and consists of a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The 6-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 63k miles, which the selling dealer asserts are original to the vehicle.
The 2.0-liter 3S-FE inline-4 is original to the vehicle and was factory-rated at 116 horsepower when new. Power is transferred to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transaxle.
The CARFAX report shows no history of accidents or damage and Virginia registration since 1992.
AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE 5/6/2021 12:20PM: The car has 63,240 miles, the listing has been corrected to reflect that.
