Welcome to the Cobra 427 auction. Thanks for the early comment and opening bid. Some background on this Cobra. My client’s father was a true car guy who owned a small automotive business in Chico CA. Having owned a few cars over the years, he got the urge to take on a build which led to the Cobra. After much research on frame design and build quality he made his selection of Legendary Cobras for their rectangular box tube frame, full sheet metal reinforced floor pans and foot box drops in addition to thicker than average fiberglass with rolled edges. Wanting an old-school build, the owner chose to go with the originality of a 1966 427ci side-oiler that he found, had rebuilt and sent to him prior to the car even arriving. A few years of building, body work and paint, and we’re into 1993 and have a beautiful, finished Cobra. Mr. D was very particular about where and how he drove the Cobra, a testament to the condition of the car today and the lack of rock chips and road rash, Mr D mostly trailered it from show to show where he received quite a few awards. And yes, it sounds and drives as good as it looks…… stay tuned! I will be adding more content as the week goes on (and the Northern California weather improves) so add it to your Watchlist to be notified. Classic Cars Ltd. is a small 30+ year dealership located in Pleasanton, CA (30 min N of San Jose; 40 min E of San Francisco). We welcome appointments to view or for onsite PPI's prior to the final day of the auction.

Knowing which company produced the kit would be helpful. If it’s a Factory Five then no go - you never know who built it. But a Superformance or similar then worth looking at
