This 1993 Lexus SC300 is an enthusiast-owned sport coupe with newer color-matched Lexus factory wheels, a power-operated moonroof, and automatic climate control. It is powered by its original 225-horsepower 2JZ-GE 3.0-liter inline-6 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. This SC was sold to its first owner in Des Plaines, Illinois in late 1992, where it remained until taking up permanent residence in Florida in 2012. Recent work consisted of new brakes, calipers, hoses, tires, and an alignment. Finished in Bluish Gray Metallic over a gray leather interior, this SC300 is now offered with a clean CARFAX report, a car cover, and a clear Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in the factory Bluish Gray Metallic (182) and is reported to retain its original fog lamps, dual exhaust, and gold badges. Photos show paint imperfections on the fuel door, driver-side bumper cover, and below the passenger-side rear window, as well as a small dent forward of the fuel door.
Newer 17” Lexus IS wheels have been refinished to match the car, and they are wrapped in new Continental tires. An alignment was performed after the installation. Power steering, traction control, and anti-lock braking came as standard equipment, and the braking system has been serviced recently with the replacement of the calipers and pads. The suspension has been worked on recently as well, with the rear receiving new shocks
The interior is fitted with gray leather power-operated bucket seats with 2-position memory, along with matching fiberglass-reinforced door panels, dash, and carpet. Amenities include automatic climate control, power door locks, power windows, a power-operated moonroof, a factory-installed keyless entry system, dual airbags, and a working defroster. The original phone and radar detector are no longer with the car, and there is a defect in the dash pad and age-related wear on the seats, as depicted in photos.
Instrumentation is framed by a power-adjustable 4-spoke steering wheel and consists of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows approximately 81k miles, which the seller asserts is a true reading.
The 3.0-liter 2JZ-GE inline-6 is original to the vehicle and was factory-rated at 225 horsepower when new. According to the CARFAX report, the car received regular maintenance at Lexus of North Miami, Florida, and the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and cam and crank seals were replaced in November 2020. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The underside has been cleaned and coated with POR-15 to remedy some existing surface rust on exposed components, and the seller indicates that a new aluminum splash shield has been installed. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the gallery.
The CARFAX report shows no accidents or damage on record, and the seller notes that two of the five registered owners are the same individual, who owned the car twice. The sale includes a Lexus-branded car cover. Videos are available for viewing below.

The fiberglass-reinforced door panels were reinforced by me as these are a weak point on the car! I removed both door panels and reinforced the weak spots with fiberglass, see previous SC that recently sold on Auto Hunter!
