This 1954 Chevrolet 3100 ½-ton 5-window pickup is a largely original example powered by a 235ci inline-6 paired with a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission. Upgrades include a new carburetor, 12-volt electrical system conversion, an open driveline conversion, and a new rear end for improved highway driving. Finished in two-tone baby blue and black over a blue cloth interior, this 3100 is now offered with a clear Oregon title in the seller’s name.
The truck's originally gray finish has been replaced with a professionally applied two-tone baby blue and black paint scheme. The respray was taken to the jambs, bed interior, and engine bay. Other features include a chrome front bumper, grille, mirrors, badging, and door handles, running boards with bowtie-branded step plates, a custom rear bumper, and a tow hitch. Photos show that there is wear and degradation of the wood bed planks.
Factory 16” color-matched steel wheels have chrome center caps and are wrapped in tires of unknown age.
The interior is fitted with the original blue cloth bench seat, matching door panels, a metal color-matched dash, and beige carpet. Amenities include a Craig AM/FM/cassette and a locking glove compartment.
Instrumentation is framed by a 3-spoke steering wheel and consists of a 90-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The seller reports that the fuel gauge is not reliable. The 5-digit odometer shows approximately 55k miles, but since the speedometer was recently replaced true mileage is unknown.
The 235ci inline-6 is original to the pickup and benefits from a new carburetor, and 12-volt electrical system conversion. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission, and the rear end has been replaced to provide a more highway-friendly gear ratio.
