This 1952 MG TD roadster is the product of an older exterior restoration that retains its original leather interior, featuring a retractable cloth top with full side curtains. It is powered by a 1,250cc inline-four paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes replacement wire wheels on new tires, Jaeger instruments, and chrome bumpers. Finished in red over a red leather interior, this TD is now offered with the original wheels, a tonneau cover, and a clear Arkansas title in the seller’s name.
This TD is finished in a red older respray with rear-hinged doors, and features beige retractable soft top with full side curtains. The exterior finishes are the product of an older restoration from around 2005, and brightwork consists of chrome front and rear bumpers with guards, headlight surrounds, window trim, and mirrors. A black tonneau cover is included with the sale.
Replacement Dunlop-style wire wheels have Nexen tires mounted on them with a fifth matching wheel and tire mounted to the rear as a spare. The original wheels, hub caps, and rotors are included with the sale.
The interior is retains reportedly original red leather upholstery and has seating for two. Surfaces show some wear, discoloration, and cracking commensurate with age. The dash is painted beige and features an inlayed chrome-rimmed semi-circular gauge cluster and controls at the center.
Instrumentation is situated behind a beige banjo-style steering wheel and includes Jaeger gauges such as a 100-mph speedometer, 6,000-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and readouts for oil pressure and voltage. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads 36k miles, but true mileage is unknown.
The 1,250cc inline-four is equipped with SU carburetors and runs well per the seller. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a 4-speed manual transmission and a floor-mounted shift lever.
The sale includes a tonneau cover and the car’s original steel wheels.
