This 1972 Ford Thunderbird is a rust-free, original example with a vinyl roof, leather upholstery, recent maintenance history, and recent ceramic paint protection coating. It is powered by a 460ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Finished in gold with a brown vinyl roof over a brown leather interior, this Thunderbird is now offered with a clear Oklahoma title in the seller’s name.
The body has been refinished in a two-stage paint correction with ceramic coating. The vinyl roof is reported to be in excellent condition, and the seller notes that the windshield wipers will need replacement.
Factory 15” steel wheels with color-matched Thunderbird-branded covers are wrapped in whitewall tires of unknown age. Handling is assisted by power steering and power brakes. The seller states that the shocks are "creaky."
The interior is fitted with original split-bench seats upholstered in brown vinyl that is reportedly free of rips or tears. The door panels are trimmed in matching material, and the dash pad and pile carpeting are a darker brown. Amenities include cruise control, an AM radio, and air conditioning, although the system is not currently blowing cold. The seller indicates that the armrests on both doors are brittle and cracking and held together with tape, and the power door lock on the passenger side is inoperable.
Instrumentation is framed by a 2-spoke steering wheel and consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a non-functional analog clock, and a fuel level gauge. The 5-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 83k miles, which the seller asserts is accurate.
The matching-numbers big-block 460ci V8 received a new 4-barrel carburetor in 2020, and other recent maintenance has included replacement of the fuel tank and sending unit and a new master cylinder, radiator, spark plugs, and wires. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 3-speed SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission.

It is standard vinyl upholstery - not leather.
