Vehicle Story

This 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet is finished in black over a black leather interior and is powered by a 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-6 paired with a G50 5-speed manual transaxle.  The car was initially invoiced to Moore Motors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was purchased new by the seller.  Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, power-operated top, and upgraded interior options including a heated, lumbar-adjustable driver’s seat and a short gear shift lever.  This 911 Turbo Cabriolet is located in Miami Beach, Florida and is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.

The triple black example is finished in factory black (A1V9). Both doors and rear quarters were repainted when the car was just two weeks old, when the car was keyed. Integrated fog lamps adorn the front end and a “whale tail” spoiler finishes the rear. The car has a cloth top with a flexible clear rear window. Also included is a tonneau cover, which was a $960 option when new. The seller notes that the windshield has a small chip.

Factory 16” Fuchs wheels are fitted with a staggered tire size setup of 205-55-16 front tires and 245-45-16 rear tires. Front and rear stabilizer bars augment the car’s handling and an optional shortened gear shift lever was fitted to the car as an upgrade at the factory.

The interior is black throughout, with leather and power-adjustable seats for both driver and passenger.  The car is equipped with heated and electrically adjustable outside mirrors, a 6-speaker sound system with amplifier, and air conditioning with automatic climate control.  The heated driver seat, a $231 option when new, is also equipped with adjustable lumbar support.

Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,200-rpm redline.  The six-digit odometer shows 32,100 miles, all of which were added under the ownership of the seller.

The 3.3L flat-six, air-cooled engine was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a Getrag G50 5-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch. The seller states that the engine and transmission are numbers matching, this was verified by Porsche. Records of this authentication can be found in the gallery below. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential. The seller has complete maintenance records dating back to new.  The most recent service was in August 2020.

Underside photos are shown in the gallery below. It is reportedly in original and unrestored condition

The window sticker shows the original and optional equipment configured adding up to a total price of $87,950.  The sale includes the window sticker, clean CARFAX report, owner’s manual, warranty & maintenance booklet, tool kit and service records.
