This two-owner 1988 Jaguar XJS Hess & Eisenhardt convertible shows 58,467 miles and is one of 2,915 left-hand-drive examples exported to the U.S. for the year. The car was originally purchased in West Covina, California, and dealer maintained before the seller acquired the car five years ago. Power is provided by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to an automatic transmission, and the car is finished in black over tan with the H&E convertible option. This XJS is offered with the original owner's books, the original unused convertible top in its storage case, and a clean California title.
The exterior is finished in black with gold badging and equipped with the Hess & Eisenhardt top with removable roof and rear window panels. The original, unused full convertible top is contained inside its storage case and can be stowed in the trunk. The seller reports that the car has never left California and The CARFAX report shows no history of accidents or damage.
Handling and braking are managed by power steering and power discs at all four corners. A small ding is present in the driver-side quarter panel below the fuel cap.
The two-seater is finished in tan leather with woodgrain accents on the dash, center console, upper door panels, and brown carpeting in the footwells. Upholstery is reported to be original to the car and in good condition but for a few minor flaws.
The odometer shows 58,467 miles, and the reading is reported to be accurate per the seller. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows and locks, power heated seats, and a factory AM/FM/Cassette stereo.
Power comes from the original port fuel-injected 5.3-liter V12 paired with an automatic transmission. The seller reports the car is driven monthly.
Additional undercarriage photos can be found in the gallery.
Items included in the sale are the original leather bound handbook, owner's manual, and the original and unused convertible top in its original storage case.
