@keithsautosales – what condition is paint in, 1-10. I assume cracked up, faded original laquer is long gone. base coat clear coat now??? ...

That is correct the car has been repainted in base coat clear coat. I would grade the paint 8.5/10 it’s a very nice, presents excellent on close inspection there are some minor imperfections holding it back from perfection.

@Petes1229 – Didn't 1966 Impala SS come with a factory tach? Shouldn't it have camal hump "fuelie" heads in 66?. Is that a numbers matching original 327? ...

Hi there, I’m not an expert in the gauge combinations in these cars unfortunately. Decoding the cowl tag shows that it is a real SS car. It is not believed to have the original numbers matching motor in the car.

@RayAld – A very nice looking car. A few questions on the engine. I’m pretty familiar with the 66 Impala SS. having owned one. Standard SS came with the 327/275 h.p. There were 2 other 327s used in 66. A 327/300 h.p. (normally in the muscle cars, Chevelle Malibu, etc.) & a 327/350 h.p. In the Corvette Stingray. I noticed the aftermarket air filter cover sticker noting 327/325 h.p. Is the 327 engine original with “enhancements” of headers, aftermarket carb., etc. that raise the h.p. rating to 325 or is it a different year where the 337/350 h.p. was detuned to 325 h.p.? ...

Hi there, I am not an expert on the motor combinations in these years of Impalas, the motor is not believed to be original and my assumption is that the sticker was put on the air cleaner to be factory appearing but perhaps not factory correct to the HP rating of the current engine in the car.
