This 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 cabriolet was manufactured in January of its model year and sold to its first owner two months later in March. Fitted with a recently replaced top at a cost of $2,000 per the seller, the odometer displays 26,934 miles and equipment includes heated seats, automatic climate control, headlamp wipers, dual front airbags, and power-adjustable seats with memory for the driver. Specifications remain unmodified from stock such as a stock Mercedes-Benz tape deck, eight-hole aluminum wheels, and more. Finished in black on black, this late-model C124 is powered 3.2-liter DOHC 24-valve inline-six mated to a 4G-Tronic transmission and offered on a branded title owing to a two-mile odometer discrepancy in 2015.
This E320 is a late-model cabriolet and the finish is the quintessential Mercedes offering of the period of black over black leather with a matching power-operated soft top. The seller describes the top as having been recently repaired at a cost of $2,000, and photos with it in place and stowed are available for viewing in the gallery. Lighting remains unchanged from stock including self-cleaning tail lamps. Twin tailpipes exit below the driver's side of the rear bumper.
Wheels are a set of factory-offered eight-hole aluminum items which are listed on the car's build sheet.
The interior is upholstered in black leather and trimmed with high-gloss wood which appears in such places as the door panels, center console, and instrument panel. Interior equipment highlights include a factory Mercedes-Benz tape deck, automatic climate control with cold air conditioning, and heated-powered adjustable front seats with position memory for the driver's side.
A four-spoke airbag steering wheel fronts the gauge cluster which contains a 160-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, a clock, and smaller instruments for fuel, coolant temperature, and oil pressure, while a series of indicator lights line the bottom. The analog odometer displays 26,934 miles. The CARFAX report highlights a branded title and documents a two-mile discrepancy in November of 2015.
The engine is a Mercedes-Benz M104 DOHC 24-valve inline-six which is mated to a 4G-Tronic transmission. Output when new was 217 horsepower at 5,500 rpm with 229 pound-feet of torque at 3,750. The seller says the battery was recently replaced.
A Bentley Publishers reference book covering the W124 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is included, along with the original owner's manual, supplement, and accompanying literature.
