Vehicle Story

This 1958 Chevrolet Apache is fitted with a step side bed and is a restomod with custom two-tone vinyl bucket seats, air conditioning, Dolphin instruments, and a Pioneer stereo system. The truck reportedly received a professional respray in maroon metallic paint at the time of the refurbishment, along with replacement stainless-steel hardware and wooden planks for the bed. Under the hood, the 402ci Chevrolet big-block V8 was upgraded with Edelbrock bolt-ons in the form of a four-barrel carburetor and a polished intake manifold, and power makes its way to the ground via a 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission and a posi-traction rear axle. This 1958 Chevrolet Apache is offered on a clear Florida title.

The Chevrolet Task Force series of pickups debuted in 1955, and by 1958, the Apache had established its place as the light-duty entryway into the lineup. Cosmetic changes for the model year included a new quad-headlight design and a wider grille with integrated parking lamps. This Apache has been repainted in maroon metallic, with chrome bumpers and a re-chromed grille providing contrast. The bed floor is made up of replacement wood planks held in place with stainless-steel hardware, and the tailgate bears a Chevrolet block logo.

Chrome five-spoke wheels are wrapped in replacement Accelera tires, and handling is managed by power steering and power front disc brakes.

The interior is fitted with custom maroon and black vinyl bucket seats with matching suede door panels, a two-tone dash and instrument panel, and black carpeting. Additional amenities include a tilt-adjustable aftermarket steering column, air conditioning with under-dash vents, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit wired to speakers set in custom kick panel enclosures.

The dash has been modernized with aftermarket Dolphin gauges, including a 140-mph speedometer and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 501 miles, which reflects mileage driven since completion of the build.

The 402ci big-block Chevrolet V8 is topped by a four-barrel Edelbrock carburetor and a polished Edelbrock intake manifold and has been upgraded with serpentine belt pulleys and an Accel HEI super coil ignition system. Visible within the engine bay are a polished brake booster and master cylinder, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and a posi-traction rear axle.
