This 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Club Convertible is from the first model year of the series and was previously owned by a noted local collector. Described as having undergone a body-off restoration, power comes from a 221ci Ford Flathead V8 fueled by a rebuilt two-barrel carb, which sends power to the rear through a 3-speed column-shift manual transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated convertible soft top, Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires, period-correct wheels, optional chrome bumper guards, and fender-mounted turn signals. Finished in black over a red leather interior, this Ford Super Deluxe Club Convertible is offered from Rogers, Minnesota.
This Super Deluxe Club Convertible has been the recipient of a body-off restoration and features a black respray and a replacement power-operated cloth top with red piping. The front clip features a two-piece windshield, fender-mounted turn signals, and a 1941-only three-piece grille with vertical slats. The seller reports that the aforementioned brightwork and other exterior trim elements are in good condition, and the bumper guards were optional items that originally cost $3.50 for the front and $2.50 for the rear.
Wheels are 16" pressed-steel items wearing Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires.
The interior features reupholstered red leather seating both front and rear, with matching door panels and contrasting black carpeting. The dash is color-matched to the exterior and wears chrome accents, and houses a pull-out ashtray and a lockable glove compartment. The steering wheel has a Super Deluxe chrome center button, and the 3-speed manual is shifted on the column.
A horizontal 100-mph speedometer is surrounded by gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 45k miles, but total chassis mileage is unknown.
The 221ci Ford Flathead V8 has reportedly received a rebuild of its two-barrel carburetor and a replacement fuel pump. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a 3-speed column-shifted manual transmission.
