1988 Dodge Ramcharger

This 1988 Dodge Ramcharger is a second-generation example that has originated in California with long-term ownership, power comes from a four-barrel 360ci Chrysler V8 backed by a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic, and features and highlights include cold factory air conditioning, power steering, and front disc brakes, and a clean undercarriage. Finished in a respray of its factory Graphic Red paint over a red interior, this Ramcharger is offered with a clean CARFAX and a clear Arizona title.

Appearing unmodified from stock on the exterior, this 1988 Dodge Ramcharger was repainted in a shade of factory-offered Graphic Red and wears brightwork in the form of trim, window surrounds, and bumpers with front over-riders. Lighting remains unchanged from stock and the hood is adorned with the factory Ram ornament. Second-generation Ramcharger SUVs like this have a fixed steel roof and the rear glass appears tinted on this example. A single exhaust pipe exits in the factory location aft of the passenger side rear wheel.

Wheels are a set of 15" items from a later Dodge truck which are wrapped in a new set of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.

Red cloth upholstery surrounds interior occupants, and the color scheme extends to the door panels, carpeting, dash, and instrument panel, the latter of which also wears wood trim. The cabin and its surfaces show minimal wear commensurate with the odometer reading and the dash appears free of cracks. Factory-equipped air conditioning is reported to function properly and an original equipment Chrysler radio and cassette deck is fitted in the instrument panel. The 3-speed Torque-Flite automatic is shifted by a lever on the column and the four-wheel-drive transfer case with low-range is operated by a floor-mounted lever.

An 85-mph speedometer fronts a two-spoke steering wheel and is surrounded by gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer displays 43,853 miles, a potential odometer rollover is noted on the CARFAX

This Ramcharger is powered by an optional Chrysler 360ci V8 which is fueled by a four-barrel carburetor, equipment that was discontinued after 1988. Output when new was 193 horsepower at 4,300 rpm with 292 pound-feet of torque at 2,400, and the transmission is a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic mated to a New Process part-time four-wheel-drive transfer case with low-range gearing. A factory appearance has been maintained beneath the hood and the seller says a full fluid service was carried out in 2021.
