This 2004 Mercury Marauder is one of 3,214 produced for its model year and was sold to its first and only owner by Velde Lincoln Volvo of Peoria, Illinois in April of 2004. The mechanical odometer displays 2,981 miles, and the factory floor mats remain wrapped in plastic in the trunk, along with the trunk organizer, and unworn Marauder leather jacket. Carpeting is protected by factory-applied plastic, and equipment remains factory unmodified including original BFGoodrich G-Force T/A tires. Power comes from a 4.6-liter DOHC Ford Modular V8 paired with a 4-speed 4R75W automatic, and this Marauder is one of 1,414 finished in Silver Birch.
The exterior of this Mercury Marauder retains a factory appearance including windows that are free of tint, and model-specific elements such as the tinted headlights and taillights, the front bumper with integrated Cibie fog lamps, the rear bumper which displays the model designation, and dual chrome tailpipe finishers. Much of the trim follows the style of the contemporary Mercury Grand Marquis, and this Marauder is one of 1,414 finished in Silver Birch, with 997 of those made for the 2004 model year.
Five-spoke 18" wheels were unique to the Marauder and come wrapped in the original BFGoodrich G-Force T/A tires.
The interior is upholstered in Light Flint Nudo leather and is also unmodified, including elements such as the factory tape deck, and factory-installed Autometer gauges ahead of the shifter. Seating is belted for five passengers and carpeting remains protected by the car's original plastic lining. The floor mats are retained in the trunk in their original packaging along with the trunk organizer. An unworn large-size Mercury Marauder leather jacket is also included, within its original garment bag.
Model-specific aluminum-finished instruments include a 140-mph speedometer and a 7,000-rpm tachometer, along smaller gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. Factory-installed Autometer gauges with a matching appearance mounted forward of the shifter inform the driver of oil pressure and voltage.
Beneath the hood sits a DOHC, 4-valve version of Ford's ubiquitous 4.6-liter Modular V8 engine. Output when new was 302 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and 318 pound-feet of torque at 4,300, and the Marauder received the updated Ford 4R75W 4-speed automatic transmission for 2004.
The suspension came factory-equipped with Tokico shocks and front and rear sway bars, and the rear differential is a limited-slip unit with 3.55:1 gearing courtesy of the Crown Victory Police Interceptor. Heavy-duty brakes also come from the P71.
This 2004 Mercury Marauder is accompanied by its original window sticker and leather jacket.

@johnnyp – seems the brake rotors are chewed up pretty well...this the undercarriage and engine room all revile many more miles ...
Visually the lighting certainly makes it look like deep grooves in the rotors. I just walked up to the car and felt the rotors, and sure there is some texture to them. If you are a bidder we could inspect the pad part numbers and depth if you feel the seller is misleading on mileage. The undercarriage was addressed in previous comments from onlookers. The contrast is enhanced on undercarriage photos to give greater detail in the low light. The engine bay and undercarriage have likely never been washed. The car was brought directly from owners garage to facility with it's 6 digit odometer, dealer floor plastic, original paperwork, and clean CarFax. We have been selling cars on consignment for 22 years and won't sell 'just anything.' Happy bidding!
