This 1950 Dodge Wayfarer two-door sedan is powered by a 230ci Chrysler L-head inline-six backed by a 3-speed Gyro-Matic semi-automatic transmission. Features include a spotlight, clock, and polished Dodge wheel covers, and highlights include a paint respray, a reupholstered interior, and extensive exterior brightwork. Finished in blue metallic paint over a cloth bench seat interior, this Dodge Wayfarer is offered by the selling dealer from Burlington, Washington.
The Dodge Wayfarer was updated for the 1950 model with a different grille, bumpers, and funder-mounted tail lights. This example has been refinished in blue metallic paint, and brightwork exhibits a deep reflective shine in the photos, including the trim, bumpers, and other appointments. A Unity spotlight is fixed to the driver's side A-pillar.
Steel wheels measure 15" in diameter, are painted a different shade of blue, and wear polished Dodge covers.
The interior is outfitted with with reupholstered cloth bench seating. Lap belts are present, and carpeting is reported to have been replaced. A radio is fitted in the center of the instrument panel, but is described as inoperative. Additional features include an analog clock and a rubber trunk mat. The photo carousel includes images of plates showing the body and chassis numbers.
Square instruments are surrounded by metal trim and contain a 100-mph speedometer and accompanying gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 69k miles, but total chassis mileage is unknown.
Power comes from a 230ci Chrysler L-head inline-six which is fueled by a single-barrel Stromberg downdraft carburetor and was factory rated at 103 horsepower at 3,600 rpm and 190 pound-feet of torque at 1,200 rpm. The seller describes the heater core as inoperative and notes that it has been bypassed. A Chrysler Fluid-Drive semi-automatic 3-speed transmission marketed by Dodge as the Gyro-Matic shuffles power to the rear end.

This car as all 50 Dodges came with Fluid Drive as standard equipment. The Gyrol Fluid Dive was an extra cost option not available on Wayfarers. Very nice car!
