This 1950 Chevrolet 3600 pickup comes from 21-year ownership history and features a custom-fabricated stake-side bed, newer tires, and a numbers-matching 216ci straight-six connected to a 4-speed manual transmission. The aforementioned powertrain benefits from recent service including replacement of the head gasket, radiator, and wiring along with a rebuild of the carburetor. Repainted in its original Forester Green over a black vinyl interior, this 3600 is located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and now offered with service records and a clear Kentucky title in the seller’s name.
This pickup is from the fourth year of Chevrolet’s Advance Design series and was reportedly last painted in 2000 in Forester Green (5777) with black grille slats and black running boards. The seller states that the truck has been garage-kept since that time. The cargo bed was custom-fabricated by the previous owner who installed stake sides, and additional equipment includes a two-piece windshield, towing mirrors, and mud flaps at the rear. The photo carousel contains detailed images illustrating specific areas of cosmetic flaws or corrosion on both the cab and the bed.
The metal bed was installed by the previous owner and painted black in 2000 but needs rust removal and repainting at this time. Replacement black-painted 15” steel wheels with chrome Chevrolet-branded dog dish hubcaps are wrapped in newer Pathfinder Sport tires. The brakes and shock absorbers have reportedly been replaced.
The interior consists of a black vinyl bench seat with matching door panels, a black rubber flooring material, and a brown-painted dash with bright accents. Electric windshield wipers were added, and ventilation is provided by crank-down windows and a cowl-top ventilator. The ceiling and door panels are cardboard replacements. Door frames, dashboard are all original copper beige with original chrome highlights. The seller states that there is some corrosion present on the dash.
Instrumentation is held within two circular chrome-rimmed displays and conveys an 80-mph speedometer along with gauges for fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. An additional aftermarket temperature gauge was also added per the seller. The five-digit mechanical odometer has been replaced and is working, but the mileage is inaccurate. The truck's heater works but is in need of a new switch.
The numbers-matching 216ci straight-six is reportedly in good mechanical condition and received a replacement radiator, head gasket, a rebuilt carburetor, and newer wiring under current ownership. Power is channeled to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes service records and documentation.
