Vehicle Story

This 1974 Ford Bronco was the recent recipient of a custom, frame-off build completed by Nicks Trix Custom Fabrication in North Carolina, and has been driven less than 900 miles since the overhaul. Powered by a 302ci small-block Ford V8 bolted to a column-shift 3-speed manual transmission, the truck comes equipped with a custom interior, Vintage air conditioning, heat, aftermarket stereo, sound deadening, dual exhaust, and a limited-slip differential. Located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, this first-generation Bronco is offered for sale with a clean Florida title in the seller's name.

Finished in a respray of PPG's Original Ranger Trim Brown, the body is uncut and was stripped down to bare metal by Diversified Finish before professional completion of body and paintwork by Chuck Schenck. A combination of zinc-plated and stainless steel hardware is present, as is Scorpion bed liner inside the wheel wells. The truck otherwise retains the factory-style chrome bumpers and trim. The seller adds that the Bronco has been stored inside its own climate-controlled garage since the restoration work was completed.

Period correct chrome 15" wheels are wrapped in a set of 31"x10.5" Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Kevlar tires. Braking is managed by front discs and rear drums.

Noise reduction material and ballistic sound matting have been applied throughout the interior and underneath Euro square-weave carpeting, while leather front buckets and a Nick's Trix tuck-and-fold rear seat were added by Rick Lutz interiors. Additional interior features include a Tuffy center console, retro sound system, Vintage air conditioning, a Sirius XM/CD/Bluetooth-equipped stereo, and a Nick's Trix custom family-style roll cage.

Instrumentation including a 100-mph speedometer is housed in a custom dash panel, and the odometer reads approximately 900 miles which the seller asserts is accurate since completion of the build.

Power is delivered to all four wheels by a 302ci Ford V8 paired with a 3-speed column-shifted manual transmission from Edward Transmissions. Goodridge fuel lines, brake lines, and fittings were used throughout, and additional upgrades consist of a custom aluminum radiator and a refreshed serpentine system.

The chassis has been powder coated inside and out, and a noise-resistant coating was applied on the underside of the body. The Trac Lok rear differential can be found underneath along with a 23-gallon fuel tank, dual exhaust system, and leaf spring suspension.

As I have been in contact with the restorer it was determined there were a couple of mistakes in the description. My apologies that these discrepancies were not found sooner. 1. The seats are vinyl not leather. They are the original seats redone. 2. The back seat is a stock bench seat 3. The radiator is copper not aluminum 4. There is a stock v-belt. No serpentine.

I just spoke with Nicks Trix who advised they still have my file on quick books regarding the build. He will be sending me the file which will have all documentation of the build.
