Vehicle Story

This 1966 Buick Wildcat convertible is offered for sale by its second owner who purchased it from the original owner in 1987 and confirms odometer mileage is correct and original at just over 90,000 miles. Powered by a 401ci nailhead V-8 bolted to a 3-speed TH-400 automatic transmission, the car comes equipped with heat, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, power steering, power brakes, and an automatic top mechanism. Located in Springfield, Missouri, the sale of this 1966 Wildcat includes images of the original window sticker and documentation of the car's history as well as a clean Missouri title in the seller's name.

Finished in Cream (CC: Y) with a black top and chrome bumpers and accents, the car received its second repaint roughly 15 years ago and is reported to show some signs of age with a few bubbles and small amounts of rust noted in the lower inner fender area. The black convertible top was replaced in 1987 and appears to have been kept in good condition. Over the seller's 34 years of ownership, the car has largely been used for parades and other local events with Senator Roy Blunt as a passenger.

5-spoke wheels are correct for the car and fitted with whitewall tires while handling is managed by power steering and power braking systems.

The interior is finished in black throughout with vinyl upholstery over refinished front bench seating, black carpeting, and two-tone black and white door panels trimmed with stainless hardware to match the dash. Heat, air conditioning, and an AM/FM radio are equipped along with an automatic convertible top mechanism.

Instrumentation consists of a 120-MPH horizontal speedometer as well as a dial to indicate fuel level and an analog clock. The odometer is said to be correct shows approximately 90,000 original miles.

Power is provided by the original 401ci nailhead V-8 factory rated for 325hp while shifting is accomplished by way of TH-400 3-speed "Super Turbine" automatic transmission. The seller reports the car was last serviced about 5 months ago and that runs and drives reliably without issue.
