This 1947 Ford Woody Wagon started as a rust-free California car that was later treated to restoration in Ohio, incorporating modernized suspension underpinnings, aluminum wheels, replacement gauges, and a reupholstered leather interior. Powered by a Chevrolet Blazer-sourced 350ci V8 paired with a 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission, this Woody received custom airbrushing in the engine bay and is actively registered with the National Woody Club. Finished in black with wood paneling over a black leather interior, this wagon is now offered with a clear California title in the seller’s name.
Continuing with a chassis that debuted in 1941, the 1947 Ford models saw some slight updates from prior years including removal of accent lights from the grille, relocation of the parking lights to below the headlights, and a smoothing of the exterior molding texture. This Woody Wagon is painted black and reportedly wears its mostly original wood on the sides and tailgate per the seller. The design aesthetic includes a two-piece windshield and a cloth top, along with brightwork for the bumpers, grille, headlight rings, side moldings, and additional exterior trim.
American Racing five-spoke polished aluminum wheels are installed in a staggered setup with 18” up front and 20” in the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes with cross-drilled and slotted rotors, and the front end is comprised of Ford Mustang II underpinnings and power steering.
The interior is fitted with leather upholstery for the front and rear benches, complete with a fold-down center armrest. The dash is color-matched in black with chrome accent, and the door panels are finished in wood which extends to a full headliner framework. Interior appointments are rounded out by industrial-grade gray carpeting with matching floor mats and tinted windows. The modern audio system employs a Kenwood AM/FM/CD head unit with remote control and a boxed enclosure with three subwoofers in the rear cargo area.
Instrumentation includes aftermarket gauges for a speedometer with additional readouts for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The odometer reads 7k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The engine bay has received custom airbrushed flames and a chrome-finished air cleaner, and the 350ci V8 was sourced from a 1985 Chevrolet Blazer and rebuilt. Recent maintenance includes an oil change and the installation of an Optima red top battery. The seller states that there are leaks from the front seal and from the transmission, amounting to a few drops in volume. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9” rear end.

I would like to apologize for not answering these questions sooner. We did not know that there was a comments and question section on this auction.
@VonFlue – This car is up in Apple Valley. I can’t imagine a car like this not having air-conditioning. However I can’t seem to tell whether it has it or not. Does anyone know if this car is equipped with air-conditioning? ...

Car has air conditioning but due to the pandemic, the air has not been used during that time and it possibly needs seals.
