Vehicle Story

This 1967 Pontiac GTO was originally assembled in Framingham, Massachusetts and was the subject of a frame-up restoration. Powered by a Pontiac 400ci small-journal V8 backed by a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed, equipment includes bench seating with a center armrest, Cragar wheels, auxiliary gauges, and replacement radio, and the seller describes the restoration as having adhered to factory specifications, with badging and other equipment in their original configurations and locations. Finished in metallic blue over a black interior, this 1967 Pontiac GTO is offered from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The trim tag and chassis number for this Pontiac indicate that it left the Framingham, Massachusetts assembly plant as a GTO hardtop coupe, one of 65,176 made for the 1967 model year. The seller describes a frame-up restoration performed approximately four years ago and highlights the quality of the paint finish, brightwork, and lighting. The body is reported to remain completely original and badging is said to have been applied to factory locations. Outlets for a dual exhaust system exit beneath the rear bumper.

Fifteen-inch Cragar mag wheels are finished in chrome and wrapped in 205-section tires.

The interior is lined with black vinyl upholstery and features bench seating with an armrest for the front occupants. Upholstery is described as being free of tears and other wear, and the door panels are trimmed in matching materials. Windows are operated by crank and the instrument panel wears wood trim. The steering wheel is a period Pontiac design and the seller says the AM/FM radio was replaced at some point. The trunk is lined with a vinyl mat and is home to a spare tire and toolkit.

The gauge cluster consists of a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge, along with indicator lights for the oil pressure and battery state. An auxiliary gauge pod mounted below the radio includes Sunpro instruments for coolant temperature and oil pressure, as well as a Bosch voltmeter.

The 400ci Pontiac small-journal V8 wears the corporate light blue engine paint and a chrome air cleaner and valve covers. Output for the 1967 GTO ranged from 255 horsepower to 360 depending on the carburetor and induction setup. The seller reports all engine equipment and lines as remaining in their factory locations, while the drivetrain consists of a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed with a column-mounted shifter. Equipment includes front disc brakes, and the engine exhales through a dual exhaust system.

The seller says the underside was coated with rust-inhibitor, which remains largely intact.
