Doing more research , I found that these trucks are lovingly called a Ford "Wrongbed" . Numbers I found stated a total production of a little over 1,700 produced . This truck could be a lot of fun !

In addition to the listing , I would like to say that I have not been able to find another single rear wheel Ford F350 of this vintage anywhere . It is a very unique truck , super heavy duty chassis , it has 17.5 inch 6 lug steel wheels , the lug nuts are huge , the brake drums are suitable for dual wheels , it does have a 10,000 pound G.V.W. rating . These trucks were apparently used for short distance hauling of heavy loads , this truck was never put to work like that . The paint is original , the patina is from mother nature , not done by a person making it look old , it is old ! The 283 Chevy engine runs excellent , it was installed by the previous owner who was planning on customizing this truck but found a truck I had that he couldn't pass up and traded this truck in on it . The rust mentioned in the listing is minimal , the pictures should show it all , the floorboards and cab are solid , the bed shows minimal use for being 60+ years old , the tailgate and taillight housings are factory , they look to be from Ford's 1958 models that they used exclusively on these F350s with the 9 foot box . This is a very cool truck ! The tires are only a couple of years old , very unique themselves , they are 8R-17.5 Bridgestone 10 ply radial tires used on older heavy duty trucks . If you have any questions please feel free to ask , I will answer them to the best of my knowledge .
