1996 Porsche 911 Cabriolet 20 year ownership

This 1996 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in Guards Red over black leather interior. Delivered new in Texas, the 993 is powered by an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine with power sent to the rear wheels by means of a 4-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic. Showing 66K miles, the seller has added 51K miles in their 20-plus years of ownership. Modifications are noted to include a Porsche muffler volume package with chrome tailpipe tips as well as aftermarket 993 Turbo Twist replica wheels. This 993 is now offered with records from the seller’s ownership, a clean CARFAX, and a clear Nevada title in the sellers’ name.

Finished in Guards Red (L80K), the seller notes being rear-ended on the passenger side. The damage was not reported to CARFAX, but the rear bumper was replaced and repainted to repair the minor damage. This 993 cabriolet features a newly installed black soft-top, though the seller reports the need for a replacement cable. Other notable features include an integrated rear spoiler above the grated rear hatch, which houses the rear-mounted engine.

Situated behind the SRS equipped steering wheel sit VDO instrumentation with a central tachometer and a 200-mph speedometer, along with an analog clock and two combination gauges with readouts for fuel level and oil level, temperature and pressure. The odometer shows 61k miles. 
 

The M64 3.6-liter flat-six air-cooled engine produced 282 horsepower and is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic shifting capability. The 993 showcases the last of Porsche air-cooled engines, all the original components are in place except for the polished dual exhaust system for improved performance and sound

Per the clean CARFAX, servicing has been performed at varying Porsche dealerships in California and Nevada throughout the ownership of the car. Used as a weekend car by the seller, this 993 comes with the original spare tire kit, service records from the sellers ownership tenure and factory literature.
