This 2006 Pontiac GTO two-door coupe comes from final year of the model in the United States, remaining in unmodified condition and accruing just 4,715 miles since new. Power is generated by an LS2 6.0-liter V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, and recent maintenance has been carried out with the fluids, brakes, and tires. The car was originally sold July 2007 in Cleveland, Ohio and has remained in the state since new, offering a clean CARFAX and finished in its original coat of Torrid Red. Outfitted with amenities including a red leather interior and a 10-speaker Blaupunkt in-dash CD system, this ninth-generation GTO is now offered with a clear Ohio title in the seller’s name.
Launching in 2003, the fifth-generation Pontiac GTO shared a platform with the Australia-built Holden Monaro. Cosmetic and mechanical changes were carried out in the following years, including an update to black-housing taillamps for the final year of production in 2006. This example from that year is painted Torrid Red and features fog lamps in the lower front air dam, hood scoops, a rear wing spoiler and a GTO-branded rear diffuser. Dual bright exhaust tips exit beneath the rear bumper.
Factory 17” five-spoke chrome-finished wheels are wrapped in replacement 245/45-series tires that were installed April 2021, along with replacement of the brake pads, rotors, and a four-wheel alignment performed at the same time. Stopping power is assisted by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes coupled with a traction-control system, and the suspension is a four-wheel independent setup.
The interior features a 2+2 seating configuration, upholstered with red leather power-operated bucket seats with GTO branding, complemented by matching door panels and a two-tone steering wheel. The dash and carpeting wear black materials, and there are billet aluminum gas and brake pedal covers in the driver footwell. Amenities include air conditioining, power windows, power door locks, an anti-theft system, cruise control, and a Blaupunkt 10-speaker premium stereo system with a six-disc in-dash changer and remote steering wheel controls.
Instrumentation is delivered via red-face gauges including a 200-mph speedometer, a 7,500-rpm tachometer, and accompanying gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 4,715 miles which the seller states is an actual reading.
The LS2 6.0-liter V8 was factory rated at 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Recent maintenance was performed by Jeff Schmitt Chevrolet in Beavercreek Township, Ohio in April 2021 including an oil change and other service to the brakes and tires as mentioned above. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Additional undercarriage photos can be found in the gallery.
The CARFAX report shows no accidents or damage on record.

I have seen this car in person and it is absolutely stunning and just as it appears in the photos. I felt like I was looking at the car when it was in a showroom brand new. The seller is a very straight forward and honest . I saw the car when I purchased another car he was selling over the Memorial Day weekend which was also presented just as he said it was. I have been completely satisfied with my purchase and car has been great without any problems at all. The GTO was there also and I looked in over completely and it everything the pictures show it is. A true one of kind car in my opinion.
@CSCJR – Please refer to the Carfax report. Oil and filter were last replaced at 4,257 miles. No info on any other fluids. ...
I did refer to the Carfax, which is why I was asking about the fluids. I will have assume the brake fluid and transmission fluid are 15 years old since Carfax does not show service records for that. Sorry for not clarifying which fluids I was speaking about. Were those specific fluids checked to see if they needed to be changed? Thank you.
@NRG – Thank you for your response. Since there are no service records, am I to assume then that the fluids in the car are original? ...

@CSCJR – Hello, When I acquired the vehicle, there were no service records. However, given the extremely low mileage, I suspect they there actually was not much generated in the way of documentation. I’m not aware of any reason that the rear skirt was refinished to match the body color. I can only assume it was because of personal preference. As to the vehicle’s condition with regard to body defects, I can say that I looked at nearly a dozen of these last generation GTOs over the past year or so, and this one is hands down in the best condition of any of them. I won’t say that it is perfect, but it is pretty close. In regard to recourse after the sale if you decide you don’t like it, I suggest that you make sure you like it BEFORE you buy it. When I purchase vehicles online, I either make the trip to personally inspect the vehicle, or I hire an inspection company if the travel distance is prohibitive. If you are a serious prospective buyer and really want one of these vehicles, I suggest that you do the same. I look forward to seeing your bid soon! ...

@NRG – For some reason, the description does not mention if any service records will be included. Do you have that information? I am also interested to find out if there is any paperwork to determine why the rear lower valance was painted to match the car. That is not factory spec. Also, since pictures can only show so much, can you confirm that there is not any exterior defects of any kind, ie. paint chips, nicks, dents, etc? If the car arrives with any exterior defects, what is the recourse? ...

No. Please refer to the Carfax report for the vehicle history.

@Jerrygreen – Was it stored outside? There seems to be a lot of undercarriage rust ...
I don’t know where or how the car was stored over the years. What I do know is that I’ve looked at a number of these final generation low mileage GTOs over the past several years, and every one had undercarriage rust . On this one, it seems to be superficial and appears much worse in the photos than actual. That being said, the undercarriage can certainly benefit from a re-fresh at this point. I can say that I have found no signs of rust on the body or on the floor pans, which in my opinion are the more worrisome areas. Thanks
