This 1965 Shelby Cobra Semi-Competition (S/C) replica is a two-door, two-seat roadster that was built 2017 and is autographed by Carroll Shelby, deriving power from a Ford 331ci stroker V8 paired with an automatic transmission. The assembly of this replica included details such as Quick Jack bumpers, a rollbar, four-wheel disc brakes with Wilwood calipers, and bucket seats with RaceQuip harnesses. The seller has owned the vehicle for just under four years, adding roughly 1,000 miles of the current 5,850 displayed on the odometer. Finished in Blue Metallic over a dark gray vinyl interior, this Shelby is now offered with service records and a clear California title in transit.
This Cobra replica was assembled in 2017 and painted Blue Metallic, complemented by dual white snakeskin-patterned stripes and a variety of race livery decals adorning the exterior. Equipment includes a hood scoop, side-exit exhaust pipes, bright headlight rings, and a fuel-filler cap at the passenger side rear. Gold-anodized Quick Jack bumpers were fitted for both front and rear, along with similar finishes for the front fender vents and a rollbar behind the driver seat.
Halibrand-style 15” aluminum wheels with anodized centers and spinner caps are wrapped in staggered-width Goodyear Eagle raised-white-letter tires, with 295-series and 215-series tires in the rear and front, respectively. The suspension is comprised of four-wheel Viking coilovers, with Ford Mustang II components up front. Equipped with rack and pinion steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes with Wilwood front calipers.
The cockpit is fitted with period-style dark gray vinyl bucket seats with RaceQuip harnesses, separated by a custom console wrapped in a light snakeskin pattern. The dash features Carroll Shelby’s signature and a metal placard, the door panels are upholstered in gray vinyl with elastic storage pockets, and the flooring has gray carpeting. Additional equipment includes a three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel with paddle shifters, an under-dash fire extinguisher, and aluminum pedals.
Instrumentation is affixed to the face of the vinyl-covered dash and includes 140-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and supplementary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 5,850 miles, of which about 1,000 have been added by the seller.
The Ford 331ci stroker V8 has Cobra-branded equipment for the valve covers and air cleaner and has been rated at 400 horsepower. Performance enhancements include aluminum heads, a four-barrel carburetor, wrapped headers, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Recent maintenance included an oil change and replacement of the oil pan. Power is directed to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission with manual-shift capability via steering wheel paddle shifters. The vehicle is CA SB100 certified.
The sale includes service records.
