OVERVIEW
This 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo sports coupe has been driven 45K miles since new and was garage-kept by the same owner for 28 years. Originally build in May of 1986 and sold by Giganti Porsche of Indianapolis, Indiana, it receives power from a turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six coupled with a 4-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a sunroof, fog lamps, heated front seats, a rear spoiler, and color-matched wheels. Finished in Guards Red over a black leather interior, this 930-series 911 is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer with service records, a window sticker, an owner's manual, a Porsche Production Specifications document, the uninstalled original exhaust system, the uninstalled rear window wiper, car covers, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This low-mileage 911 retains its original bright and glossy Guards Red exterior, which is offset by black finishes for the front air dam, window moldings, rocker moldings, and parts of the "whale tail" spoiler. Exterior equipment includes fog lamps, headlight washers, color-keyed mirror caps, a power-operated sunroof, and a custom exhaust system. The selling dealer notes that there are a few small chips in the paint at the leading edge of the front trunk lid near the Porsche crest as well as on the lower part of the front bumper. The rear wiper has been removed but is included as part of the sale.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Color-matched 16-inch Fuchs wheels with polished lips are wrapped in staggered-width tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cockpit is fitted with black heated leather bucket front seats, matched to the door panels, center console, dash, rear seats, carpeting, and embroidered floor mats. Amenities include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, tinted glass, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt Monterey AM/FM/cassette radio. Overall, the interior is in great condition, according to the selling dealer, although there is some warping evident near the defrost vents.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a 170-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for the boost, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 45,504 miles, which is consistent with the mileage shown on the CARFAX report.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The rear-mounted, turbocharged, and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six was maintained by Foreign Car Services of Kalamazoo, Michigan under previous ownership as shown by the service records dating back to 1987. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Handling is assisted by front and rear stabilizer bars. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel to the right.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report starts in October of 1990 and designates this as an accident- and damage-free vehicle. A video showing the car starting up and exterior and interior footage is available below. The sale includes service records, a window sticker, an owner's manual, a Porsche Production Specifications document, the uninstalled original exhaust system, the uninstalled rear window wiper, and car covers.
