OVERVIEW
This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible was equipped with new exhaust and suspension hardware in 2016 and repainted in 2017. It sends power from its modified 390ci V8, which has been bored out to 410ci, through a rebuilt Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission to the rear Magnum 500 wheels. Features include air conditioning, an aftermarket woodgrain steering wheel, and power front disc brakes. Finished in red with a white convertible top over a red vinyl interior, this Galaxie 500 is available now and comes from the selling dealer with restoration receipts, a red convertible top boot, and a clear Wisconsin title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
A white convertible top and chrome bumpers accent the exterior, which was repainted red in 2017. Features include Galaxie 500 emblems on the front fenders, dual rectangular exhaust tips, and stainless steel trim. Photos in the gallery to the right show minor rips and dark smudges in the white convertible top.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
This Galaxie 500 convertible sits on a set of newer Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The Galaxie's interior features red vinyl upholstery with matching red carpeting. It comes equipped with an aftermarket woodgrain steering wheel, power brakes, air conditioning, six seatbelts, and a push-button radio.
INTERIOR - GAUGES
A 120-mph horizontal speedometer sits in the center of the instrument cluster, flanked by a fuel gauge on the left. Below the speedometer is an analog clock; located under the dashboard are aftermarket oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery voltage gauges. The analog odometer currently shows 38,521 miles, but the actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The selling dealer states that the original 390ci V8 has been bored out to 410ci and rated at 416 horsepower. Its Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission has been rebuilt and modified with a 2,800-rpm stall converter.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The selling dealer states new exhaust and suspension hardware was installed in 2016 and that the undercarriage was repainted in 2017. Braking is provided by power front disc and rear drum brakes. Additional photos of the underbody are available in the gallery on the right.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The video below shows the engine bay, exterior, and interior of the vehicle. A red convertible top boot and receipts that date back 10 years and cover the restoration come with the car.

What is the side moulding down the body panels made of? Is it stock? Is it silver or white?
Do you have the original steering wheel? Does the radio and clock work? Heat and a/c work? Is there any modern sound system/blue tooth installed? What suspension hardware was added underneath?
