OVERVIEW
This 1941 Mercury Custom was owned by Don Miller, NASCAR legend and former President of Penske Racing South. It is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power rack-and-pinion steering, a tilt steering column, power front disc brakes, a Fat Man Fabrications independent front suspension, a chopped folding convertible top, frenched headlights, dual spotlights, power windows, power seats, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. Finished in Honduras Maroon over a red and white vinyl interior, this Mercury is available now and comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
According to Don Miller, this car was customized in Ohio in 1959-1960 by Bax Brown. The exterior was refinished in Honduras Maroon over 30 years ago. Features include chrome bumpers, frenched headlights, a shaved hood, a fender-mounted antenna, dual electric spotlights, dual rearview mirrors, a chopped windshield frame with a V-butt windshield, a folding tan cloth convertible top, a shaved trunk lid, and color-matched rear fender skirts.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of red steel wheels with 1955 Lincoln front hub caps is wrapped in whitewall radial tires. The selling dealer states that the tires have good tread and hold air but may need to be replaced.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The power split front bench seat, rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in white and red pleated vinyl. Features include power windows and steering, power front disc brakes, a tilt steering column, air conditioning, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a rear air shock adjustment switch, a body-color dashboard, and a column-mounted automatic shifter. The selling dealer states that the air conditioning needs to be serviced and the windshield wipers do not work.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
An original-style gauge panel with a 110-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, temperature, amps, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. An additional set of gauges, including a 160-mph speedometer and readouts for the coolant temperature and oil pressure, is located under the dashboard. The selling dealer states that the odometer reads 60,601 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 and backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include finned aluminum valve covers with Cadillac emblems, an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, a maroon and chrome batwing air cleaner, a Mallory electronic ignition, chrome hood hinges, and a body-color firewall.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Mercury has been modified to accept a Fat Man Fabrications Mustang II-style independent front suspension with power rack-and-pinion steering and a 1960 Thunderbird nine-inch rear axle with 3.50:1 gears. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system with glasspack mufflers exits at the rear.

Totally irrelevant to this car but was the 1931 caddillac sold or past in? I’m very interested if it’s still available
@Shelton – Yes it does have a back seat. You can view it in the photo gallery. It is the same design and theme as the rest of the interior. ...
