Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1992 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has covered 22,500 miles since new and is powered by an LT1 5.7-liter V8 connected to a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a white manual convertible top, luggage rack, Delco/Bose AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo, and power seats, windows, locks, and mirrors. Finished in Arctic White over a red leather interior, this C4 Corvette comes with maintenance records, shop manuals, a set of chrome wheels, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.

EXTERIOR - FEATURES

The Arctic White exterior features pop-up headlights, a white manual convertible top, a red and Arctic White hard tonneau cover, a luggage rack, and dual rectangular exhaust outlets. The seller reports there is a one-inch rip in the top.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

The 17" x 9.5" aluminum wheels are wrapped in 275/40 Nitto NT555 G2 tires that were replaced in May 2020.

INTERIOR - FEATURES

The cockpit is equipped with power-adjustable red leather bucket seats. Features include air conditioning, a Delco/Bose AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo, and power windows, locks, and mirrors.

INTERIOR - GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of a 6,000-rpm tachometer, a digital speedometer and fuel gauge, and readouts for the oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and volts. The digital speedometer shows 22,500 miles, which the seller states is accurate. The latest mileage figure of 20,355 miles was logged on the CARFAX report in June 2020.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Under the clamshell hood is a fuel-injected LT1 5.7-liter V8 that sends power to the road through a four-speed automatic transmission and the rear wheels. According to the seller, the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator were replaced two years ago.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The CARFAX report starts in April 1992 and shows an accident-free vehicle history in Texas and New Mexico. A vehicle inspection was completed in February 2023. Maintenance records, shop manuals, and a set of chrome wheels come with the purchase of the car.

@Longhorn73 – How would you rate the paint job on 1-10 scale? ...

When I take the car out to local shows, the consistent comments are about how the paint and interior colors still pop. During drives, it receives an occasional thumbs up from other motorist and generally aways from other Vette owners. When seen in person, it is evident that the car has been well maintained and protected from the sun and weather. During my ownership, it has never been driven in the rain or left outside overnight. I have always kept it in the garage with a cover over it. I am reasonably sure the paint will meet your expectations, so I would rate it at 9.

@Longhorn73 – Ok thanks. Nice sound to the engine? ...

The engine runs smooth. The exhaust system is stock and has a low throat rumble, but not loud.

@Skedz1 – So the convertible top is ripped ????? ...

If you can enlarge the photo of the passenger side with the top up, you can see a small tear near the bottom corner where the top, window and body meet. This is in a folding crease and is a result of raising and lowering the top over time. The tear is just on the surface material and does not go all the way through the fabric.
