OVERVIEW
This restored 1974 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 454ci V8 backed by a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Features include power four-wheel disc brakes, bucket seats, electronic ignition, an L88-style hood, and removable color-matched roof panels. Finished in Medium Blue over a black vinyl interior, this Corvette is available now and comes with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the 2019 restoration, the reportedly rust-free exterior was refinished in Medium Blue. Features include color-matched urethane bumpers, hide-away headlights with updated electric actuators, an L88-style hood with a black accent stripe, color-matched removable roof panels, and dual side mirrors. The seller states that body repair was not needed prior to the restoration.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch Vision wheels is wrapped in new 225/60/15 radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include power brakes, manual steering and windows, a floor-mounted manual shifter, a shortened center console, woodgrain accents, and a Grant GT three-spoke steering wheel.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, a Sunpro 8,000-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges in the center stack. The odometer shows 8,100 miles, reflecting the mileage on the engine. According to the seller, there are 42,000 miles on the chassis.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 454ci V8 and backed by Muncie four-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. Features include finned aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, an air cleaner, new high-energy ignition, exhaust headers, dual electric and mechanical fuel pumps, and a four-row aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The seller states that a new distributor and new spark plugs and wires fitted with heat-safe sleeves have been installed.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Corvette is equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel disc brakes. A dual exhaust system exits at the sides ahead of the rear wheels.
