OVERVIEW
This frame-off-restored 1941 Cadillac Series 61 Five-Passenger Coupe is a "Full Classic" according to the Classic Car Club of America. It is powered by a 346cid L-head V8 backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Features include an electric fuel pump, a PerTronix electronic ignition system, faux woodgrain interior accents, an AM radio, rear wheel skirts, and a heater. Finished in black over a ribbed tan cloth interior, this Cadillac comes from the selling dealer with the original sales paperwork and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior was refinished in the reportedly original factory color of black during the restoration process. Features include chrome bumpers with bumper guards, a chrome grille, a hood ornament, dual mirrors, fender and rocker trim, and rear wheel skirts. The selling dealer states that the chrome trim and brightwork are in stellar condition.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of Vincennes Red steel wheels with chrome center caps and beauty rings are wrapped in whitewall bias-ply tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bench seat and the rear seat are upholstered in tan ribbed cloth. Features include manual windows and steering, faux woodgrain trim, tan cloth door panels, a column-mounted manual transmission shifter, an AM radio, a heater, and a white two-spoke steering wheel.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, battery, and temperature are located ahead of the driver. A clock is mounted on the right side of the dashboard. The odometer reads 63,028 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 346cid L-head V8 and backed by a three-speed manual transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Cadillac was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual four-wheel drums. A single exhaust outlet exits at the rear.
