A second generation was rolled out in 1965 and a third in 1972, offering increasingly rounded fenderwells and an overall design language that mirrored some of Chrysler’s car lineup of the time. This D100 Sportsman from 1976 is configured in a two-door, shortbed body style was repainted light blue with navy blue striping under prior ownership. Polished aluminum 15” wheels are mounted to 35” Mastercraft Courser MXT 35” all-terrain tires with good tread life remaining. The suspension been lifted to accommodate the current wheel and tire setup.
The interior is fitted with tan cloth and vinyl bench upholstery, color-matched to the door panels, padded dash, and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, tinted windows, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a roof-mounted Cobra CB radio, a rear window gun rack, a fire extinguisher, and a radio with speakers mounted behind the fold-forward seat.
Instrumentation is housed within a woodgrain bezel and includes a 100-mph speedometer, an aftermarket 8k-rpm tachometer, and accompanying agues for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 31k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
