Vehicle Story

This 1975 Pontiac Firebird Formula has been with the seller for approximately 11 years and features a recent restoration with 65,101 miles on the odometer. A Pontiac 350ci V8 is mounted under the hood paired with an automatic transmission and equipment includes a Ram Air hood, Hurst shifter, AM/FM radio, heater/defroster, air conditioning and power windows, steering, and brakes. Located in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, this second-generation Firebird is offered for sale with a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller's name.

The sports coupe exterior is finished in Buccaneer Red (75) a features 1975 styling changes including a wraparound rear window, updated taillights, and a refreshed grille. This example comes complete with a fiberglass twin scoop Ram Air hood and matching fiberglass ducktail spoiler on the rear.

Rally wheels have been fitted in a set of 225/70r16 BF Goodrich Radial T/A's and power steering is equipped along with power brakes including standard front discs and rear drums. Brakes were last serviced about 6 years ago according to the seller.

Factory standard bucket seats have been outfitted with new red vinyl and cloth upholstery and the carpeting has been replaced to match.  The center console features a Hurst dual-gate shifter leaving the driver with the option to choose between automatic or manual shifting and additional interior equipment includes power windows, air conditioning, and AM/FM radio.

Instrumentation is framed by a 3-spoke steering wheel and features the optional 8k-rpm tachometer with an integrated clock as well as a 100-mph speedometer. The 5-digit odometer shows 65,104 miles and additional dials for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and battery voltage are equipped as well.

Underneath the functional fiberglass, Ram Air hood is a 350ci Pontiac V8 paired with a TH-350 automatic transmission which was rated for 175 horsepower out of the box. The engine is topped off with a Ram Air air cleaner assembly, 4-barrel carburetor, chrome valve covers, HEI distributor as standard from the factory, and a fresh oil change.

Is the air cleaner and Hood on the car which I understand is fiberglass, is this original on the car when it was new. Is it a matching numbers engine, also is the shifter Factory original, it looks like it was installed after the car was made.
