This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III roadster replica combines vintage aesthetics with modern engineering and was constructed in 2016 from components produced by Cavaliere Roadster Development (CRD) in Palo Alto, California. This replica features a fiberglass body over a custom steel frame and has been driven fewer than 500 miles since completion of the build, harnessing power from a Chevrolet-sourced 350ci V8 backed by an 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Healey Blue over a black vinyl interior, this Mk III replica is titled as a 1960, located in California, and offered with a snap-on tonneau cover, convertible top, side windows, and a clear West Virginia title.
This 3000 Mk III replica is described as a practical classic, delivering the design of a British roadster combined with Italian-guided craftsmanship and an American V8-powered drivetrain. The fiberglass body rides on a custom frame with a 92” wheelbase using rectangular steel, featuring a coat of Healey Blue paint being offset by a contrasting black cloth manually-retractable top. The exterior is trimmed in brightwork for the front and rear bumpers with overriders, grille surround, window trim, and more. Additional aesthetics include vented front fenders, fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, and a nameplate identifying the car as a Cavaliere model. The photo gallery illustrates the vehicle in top-down and top-up configuration. A black snap-on tonneau cover is included.
American Racing 16” five-spoke aluminum wheels with polished lips are wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Underpinnings are visible via quick-release fasteners in the engine bay and consist of an independent tubular coilover suspension with A-arms up front and a four-link setup with a panhard bar at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel power ventilated disc brakes.
The interior offers 2+2 seating, equipped with black vinyl bucket seat upholstery complemented by matching door panels with storage pockets, lap belts, and carpeting. The cabin is accented in a mahogany dash face with a passenger-side grab handle and a wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel. The cabin has been insulated, and the battery is located in a fully carpeted trunk.
Instrumentation is provided by Dolphin white-faced gauges with a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and accompanying gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 495 miles, of which fewer than 200 have been added by the current owner.
The small-block Chevrolet 350ci V8 features an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and has been outfitted with an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, finned valve covers, an upgraded electrical system, and a dual free-flow exhaust system. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a 10-bolt General Motors rear end.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes a tonneau cover.

Too bad that cover flapping in the wind as so distracting. And when he "stepped on it" a little it looked like the rear end broke away a bit!!
