This 1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne 2WD is a shortbed, fleetside pickup that received a restoration in 2012 which applied a fresh two-tone turquoise and white exterior finish, a spray-in bedliner, and a reupholstered interior. The upgraded drivetrain consists of a crate-sourced replacement 383ci stroker V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Additional features include a vinyl tonneau cover, a modern audio system, new Mastercraft tires, and a center console with integrated cupholders. Finished off with woodgrain interior accents and black vinyl bench seating, this second-generation C10 is now offered with service documentation and a clear Ohio title in the seller’s name.
Chevrolet’s Action Line series of pickups launched for model year 1967 on a ground-up redesign when compared to prior-generation trucks, and a subsequent 1971 update brought newer front fascias with an egg crate grille design. This example from the final year of the generation was treated to a frame-off restoration in 2012 and repainted two-tone turquoise and white. The bumpers, side moldings, window trim, and other exterior moldings are bright-finished and in good condition. A black vinyl tonneau cover is installed over the bed, and the bed interior is coated in a spray-in bedliner.
Rallye-style wheels with polished trim rings and bowtie-branded center caps are wrapped in brand new Mastercraft Avenger raised-white-letter tires. Suspension underpinnings consist of a drop-center ladder frame, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The seller notes that the truck currently sits on the Mastercraft tires, which have replaced the Goodyear rubber seen in photos.
The interior is fitted with top-trim Cheyenne equipment, featuring with a reupholstered black vinyl bench seat with a center armrest that incorporates dual cup holders. The door panels are painted turquoise and feature a woodgrain applique and wing windows, and the flooring is covered in black carpeting. Amenities include a wood-rimmed steering wheel, aluminum door sill kick plates, and the original radio, as well as an under-dash mounted newer AM/FM/CD head unit.
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer and accompanying gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. Mileage accrued since restoration is reported to be roughly 16k miles. A five-digit mechanical odometer is equipped, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The replacement crate-sourced 383ci stroker V8 is reported to have approximately 16,000 miles on it and recent maintenance consisted of an oil change and lube, an idle reset, and a check of all belts, hoses, and fluids. The fuel tank was replaced in 2019, and maintenance is currently up to date. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a column-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission.
