1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL

This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL roadster has been with the same family for the past 6 years and specifically with the seller since 2018 and is now available for sale with 101,540 miles on the odometer. The 5.5L V8 plant is original to the car and paired with an automatic transmission which has been professionally serviced by the same mechanic for the past 10 years. Equipment includes power steering, braking, locks and windows along with air conditioning, leather upholstery and AM/FM radio with a CD player. Located in Dublin, Ohio, the sale of this 560SL includes a full inspection report, clear Carfax report and clean Ohio title in the seller's name. 

Finished in Black Pearl Metallic (DB-199) with stainless bumpers and trim pieces, 1989 marks the final year for the R107 chassis and the "Pagoda" inspired styling that came with it. The roadster exterior features a new fabric soft top and an additional removable hardtop to be included in the sale. The seller notes that most improvements to the car have been made using new old stock parts to retain factory performance, look and feel. 

Power steering is equipped to handle a set of 215/50z tires fitted with aftermarket 17-inch black 15-spoke wheels with a chrome lip and Mercedes-Benz badged center caps. Power braking is outfitted as standard for the model year with the inclusion of an anti-lock braking system and 4-wheel discs. Note that the seller is no longer in possession of the original wheels for the car. 

The interior is upholstered in khaki-colored leather with carpeting to match, woodgrain accents and a black dash pad. Air conditioning is equipped and has been converted to R134A coolant as well as an AM/FM radio with CD player. Cruise control is noted to be non-operable in the attached inspection report which points out additional minor flaws in the otherwise excellent interior. 

A standard tilting 4-spoke steering wheel frames the instrument cluster which is complete with a 170-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer with integrated analog clock and dials for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure and fuel economy. The 6-digit odometer is reported to be accurate and shows 101,540 miles have been driven. 

The engine bay is home to a fuel-injected 5.5L V8 mated to an automatic transmission rated for 227hp which helped propel the car to its 130-mph top speed in 1989. All service work done over the past 10 years has been performed by the same mechanic and no notable issues are reported as a result. Approximately 6 years of records have been kept for the car and will be included in the sale. 

Suspension is coil sprung and independent in the front and rear of the car and dual exhaust is equipped as well.
