This 1971 Ford F100 Ranger is a regular-cab 4x4 pickup that rides on a lifted suspension and Super Swamper tires, with an interior that offers conveniences such as air conditioning, custom diamond-stitched upholstery, and full aftermarket gauges. This fifth-generation F-Series is powered by a 460ci V8 that has been upgraded with performance headers and is backed by a 5-speed manual transmission. Finished in gray with black side moldings over a reupholstered red vinyl interior, this F100 is now offered with a clear Louisiana title in the owner’s name.
The fifth-generation F-Series lineup of Ford trucks launched in the 1967 model year on a carry-over platform but with a larger cab, sharper styling, and additional drivetrain configurations. This example was repainted gray as part of a restoration effort, with color-matched grille elements and black body side moldings. Brightwork has been refurbished and is in good condition per the selling dealer. The exhaust system consists of Flowmaster headers with dual side-exit polished outlets, and the inside of the bed has been coated in a spray-in bedliner material.
Bassett 15” wheels with red bead locks are wrapped in Super Swamper TSL tires. The suspension has been lifted, and handling is assisted by power steering and power disc brakes with Wilwood master cylinders.
The bench seat has been reupholstered in diamond-patterned red vinyl, and matching materials are fitted to the door panels, dash, aftermarket steering wheel, and carpeting. Amenities include under-dash air conditioning, a push-button radio, and power windows.
Replacement Classic Instruments gauges are housed within a black bezel and include a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The replacement five-digit mechanical odometer reads 10 miles, though true chassis mileage is unknown.
The 460ci V8 is upgraded with a four-barrel carburetor, custom motor mounts, and fenderwell headers, and is topped with a chrome air cleaner. Power is directed to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission and 2-speed transfer case.
