1979 Chevrolet Corvette

This 1979 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe is located in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and comes complete with a fresh paint job completed this past July along with a number of other refurbishments from February of 2021 in preparation for the sale. Power is delivered to the rear wheels by a 350ci V8 crate engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission and equipment includes power steering and power brakes, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and an updated stereo and interior. This C3 Stingray is offered with recent service records and a clear Florida title in the seller's name.

A black respray with red striping and Corvette insignia laid along the cowl hood was completed in July 2021, and exterior features include pop-up headlights and removable T-top roof panels. The vacuum-powered headlight mechanism has been converted to an electronic system for added reliability, and the T-tops sport a mirrored finish with special storage bags included in the sale. 

Power steering and 4-wheel discs handle a set of factory stock wire wheels fitted with a set of Futura Super Sport radial tires. A February 22, 2021 service included an overhaul of the braking and steering systems including new front calipers, pads, and hoses along with fresh power steering hoses and a new steering valve.

Two-tone black and red bucket seating is upholstered in vinyl with the Corvette emblem embroidered into the headrests and a padded armrest in between. The factory AM/FM radio has been replaced with a CD player and additional interior equipment includes power windows and locks, a tilt wheel, seat belts, and functional air conditioning using R134 refrigerant. 

The 3-spoke tilt steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer while an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are housed in the center stack. The 5-digit odometer is reported to show 10,220 miles, but true chassis mileage is not known. 

Under the clamshell hood is a 350ci V8 crate engine topped with a chrome air cleaner and mated to a Turbo-350 3-speed automatic transmission. Performance upgrades consist of an aluminum Edelbrock Performer EPS intake manifold, Hooker headers, a Holly 4-barrel carburetor, a Holley fast-idle solenoid, and HEI ignition system. A recent service remedied existing vacuum leaks and installation of a new differential seal.
