1984 Ford Bronco 4-Speed

This 1984 Ford XLT Bronco is a highly original example powered by a 351ci V8 paired to a 4-speed Automatic transmission. Fetaures include 4WD with manual locking hubs, rear window defroster, high-back bucket seats and upgraded air conditioning. New replacements include fresh door and rear window weatherstripping, new taillights, new door strikers, hood weatherstripping, and a four-barrel carburetor. Located in Stella, North Carolina, this 3rd generation bronco is offered for sale on a clean Colorado title.

Redesigned for the 1980 model year, the third generation Bronco rode on a shorter platform than the previous generation, allowing for a lower curb weight and improved fuel economy. This example is finished in dark metallic brown with a tan removable hardtop. As part of the XLT package, black and chrome side trim runs the length of the side and around the wheel arches, while the tailgate features a brushed finished trim piece and spare tire carrier. A polished horizontal grille replaces the OEM piece in the front, while the factory chrome bumpers and side mirrors are retained. The seller notes the power operated window on the tailgate functions only with the switch inside the cab, the exterior switch is currently not functioning.

The truck rides on 15" chrome wheels wrapped in 31" Toyo Open Country tires all around. A spare tire is affixed to the tailgate with the original Bronco spare tire cover.

The interior retains many of its original components including light tan vinyl high back seats with patterned cloth inserts and a center console. Simulated wood trim is found on the door panels and dash as well as the original 2-spoke steering wheel. Features include upgraded air conditioning, cruise control, an aftermarket CB radio and manual roll-down windows.

Instrumentation consists of an 85mph speedometer and 6k rpm tachometer, along with gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, voltage an fuel level. The odometer currently reads 30,793 which is believed to have rolled over and total mileage on the chassis is unknown.

Under the hood sits the factory-original 351ci V8, upgraded with an Edlebrock 4 barrel carburetor and a brand new battery in a detailed engine bay. Power is transferred to all four wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission and 2-speed transfer case.
