This 1986 Jeep CJ-7 has been with the second owner for over 20 years and shows approximately 136,000 miles on the odometer. A number of recent updates completed in preparation for the sale include a new carburetor, stepper motor, idle solenoid, rebuilt radiator, smog equipment, new shocks, and more. Power is produced by the original drivetrain, which is made up of a 258ci inline-6 and a 5-speed manual transmission, and other features consist of power steering, mechanical brakes, a flat towing setup, a full roll cage, off-road lighting, a cargo rack, an aftermarket stereo, and newer tires. This CJ-7 is finished in its factory color scheme over an original interior and is offered with two tops, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear California title in the seller's name.
Finished in the factory brown with a tan head top and full doors, the Jeep is equipped with off-road lights on the front bumper, windshield frame, and rear cargo rack, Warn rocker guards, and Jerry can and rack-mounted holder. The 7-slot grille features the final year for round headlights until the release of the "TJ" Wrangler a decade later. A bikini top and set of half-doors are included with the sale.
Power steering is equipped to handle a set of aftermarket 5-spoke wheels wrapped in newer 32" BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires over mechanical drums. Leaf-sprung solid axles are fitted front and rear, along with all-new Procomp shocks. Additionally, the Jeep has a new custom exhaust tip and is noted to be set up for flat towing.
The original bucket seats and rear bench are reported to be in good condition thanks in part to the use of seat covers. The cabin is protected by a full cage and additional storage is located behind the rear seat. A custom stereo with Bluetooth capability is wired to wheel-well-mounted Pioneer speakers and a fire extinguisher is included.
An inclinometer is framed by the 3-spoke steering wheel as are multiple gauges, including the 85-mph speedometer, dials for fuel level and coolant temperature, and additional gauges for oil pressure and battery voltage. The 6-digit odometer is reported to show approximately 136,000 original miles driven.
The engine bay is home to a 258ci inline-6 which was recently fitted with, a new 2-barrel carburetor, stepper motor, and idle solenoid. Additional refreshments include a new oxygen sensor, replacement smog system hoses and small parts, a rebuilt original radiator, and new fluids.
Underneath are a new muffler and the aforementioned fresh set of Procomp shocks.
The CARFAX report shows no history of accidents or damage and California registration since at least 1990.

@CHOPPRZ – Good day! Wondering if you did the performance upgrade work yourself or another entity? Thanks, chief! ...
I generally had professionals install upgrades. I did do some of the the easier items myself, such the storage boxes, rear rack and recent carburetor replacement.
