It is outfitted with lime gold paint and a black interior. This two-door fastback had a recent oil change and features a clear California title in the seller's name.
In general, Ford termed this fastback body style the 2 door Sportsroof. In particular, this car was originally painted Lime Gold (Ford #2041-A) and still wears the color today. The front of the car wears a ram air style hood and features two hood pins. The headlights, taillights, and turn signals are accented with chrome trim.
This Torino Cobra has a fastback body with upper and lower chrome trim. The car also retains the body color and keyed racing mirrors it was originally equipped with. The seller states the car has been professionally repainted and is equipped with Firestone Wide Oval G70-14 tires.
This Torino Cobra is equipped with a black interior composed of vinyl and cloth seats. In the back, the Torino Cobra features a bench seat. The seller reports that the front and rear seats were reupholstered in 2016, and the heater has been disconnected.
The seller reports that the original Philco AM radio is inoperable, the tachometer doesn't work, and an aftermarket temperature gauge has been installed. Below the dash is a floor-mounted shifter and the odometer reads 88,889 however true mileage is unknown.
This car includes the original Super Cobra Jet 428 cubic inch V8. Factory rated at 360 horsepower, it features a 4.13 inch bore, 3.98 inch stroke and a compression ratio of 10.5:1. The seller states that the engine was rebuilt by a previous owner. Routing the power to the rear end is a 4-speed manual transmission that's had a mounting, bearing, and bushing replaced in 2019.
The seller reports that it has some slight rust on the undercarriage.
This Ford Torino Cobra began life at the San Jose Assembly plant in northern California. It was built on February 13th, 1969 and delivered to Canyon Ford, a dealer in Phoenix, Arizona. What I believe to be original carb comes with the sale. It has a Holley Carb on it but is a later model.
