This 1996 Ford F-350 XLT crew cab is a one-ton 2WD dually pickup with comprehensive service history and exterior add-ons including a trailer braking system, tow mirrors, cab lights, and chrome dress-up accents. Under the hood, the 7.3-liter Powerstroke diesel V8 benefits from recent service to the fluids belts, cooling system, and power steering system, and power is directed to the rear via a column-shifted mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. This pickup was first sold in December of its model year in Gilbert, Arizona and has resided in Arizona its entire life, showing rust-free finishes throughout. Finished in white over a blue velour interior, this ninth-generation F-Series F-350 is now offered with a clean CARFAX report, service records, an owner’s manual, and a clear Arizona title in the seller’s name.
Launching in 1992, the F-Series pickup moved into its ninth generation and received aerodynamics updates to the hood, front fenders, and grille. This F-350 from 1996 is painted white and configured in a longbed, dually, crew cab body style. Having resided in Arizona since new, the body and finishes are rust-free, and the factory-outfitted XLT packaging provided a chrome grille, chrome bumpers with black rub strips, and aluminum wheels. This example is additionally dressed with a windshield visor, cab lights, swing-away tow mirrors, bright-finished grab handles, diamond plate running boards, mud flaps, and a modified tailgate. A sliding-glass rear window looks out into the protector-lined bed with a diamond plate toolbox and a hidden gooseneck hitch, and an additional tow hitch extends from the rear bumper. The seller has provided close-up images of specific wear areas, including a section of paint missing on the hood cowl and some damage to the rear bumper.
Chrome-finished 16” wheels are wrapped in Cooper Discoverer ATR tires with good tread life remaining.
The interior offers seating for six, fitted with blue velour upholstery that is color-matched to the door panels, dash, and carpeting. Universal rubber floor mats are installed in the footwells, and a woodgrain trim accent strip extends from the dash to the door panels. Amenities include cruise control, power windows, power door locks, vanity mirrors, and a trailer braking system mounted beneath the driver side dash. The factory AM/FM/cassette audio system is connected to a CD changer with a remote control. The seller states that the dome light doesn’t work.
Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer, a 4,500-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer reads 186k miles, which the seller states is a true reading.
The 7.3-liter Powerstroke diesel V8 received a recent oil change, replacement belts, and corrections to leaks with the power steering and cooling systems. The CARFAX outlines other historical maintenance including service to the air conditioning system in 2018, work on the power steering system in 2017, and transmission and brake service in 2015. The glow plugs were replaced in 2008. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a column-shifted 4-speed automatic transmission.
The CARFAX report mentions an accident reported in 1999 but no other details are available. There is an open manufacturer safety recall dated 2009 that involves modification of the speed control system. The truck passed an Arizona emissions inspection in November 2020. The sale includes service records and an owner’s manual.
