This 2005 Ford Mustang GT is a one-owner convertible that was purchased new by the seller and has been driven 27,764 miles since that time, benefitting from cosmetic and mechanical updates including a Classic Design Concepts light bar, 19” MRR Design wheels, a Ford Racing cat-back exhaust system, a Super Chips programming unit, and more. This Mustang was first placed into service in August 2005 in Troy, Michigan, and has resided in the same area since new, harnessing power from a 4.6-liter V8 paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Finished in red with a black retractable top over a red vinyl interior, this fifth-generation Mustang is now offered with service records, a clean CARFAX report, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.
The fifth-generation Mustang pony car first launched in 2005 on the S-197 chassis offered as a coupe or convertible. This drop-top from that initial model year is painted red and has been treated to exterior upgrades including a Saleen hood with air intake grates, American Muscle retro headlights, factory fog lamps, a Summit Racing chin spoiler, and lower grille inserts. The side profile offers retro mirrors and black-finished bodyside lower splitters, and the rear sports a Honeycomb trunk panel, sequential taillights, and a lower diffuser. A Ford Racing cat-back exhaust system is installed with dual polished tips.
Black-finished aluminum 19” MRR Design mesh wheels with polished lips are wrapped in Z-rated Falken 245/45 tires with good tread life remaining. Braking power is assisted by drilled and slotted rotors and red-finished calipers. The front suspension is constructed of a MacPherson strut front with reverse-L lower control arms, and the rear has a three-link system with a panhard rod and a live axle. This Mustang’s underpinnings have been upgraded with the Ford Performance Handling package and a strut tower brace as well.
The interior has a two-tone color scheme, fitted with red vinyl bucket seats up front and a bench in the rear, offset with contrasting black and red materials on the perforated door panels, dash, center console, and carpeting. A Classic Design Concepts light bar has been added, as well as a wind diffuser over the rear seat. Additional amenities include embroidered GT-branded floor mats, aluminum pedals, keyless entry, power windows, mirrors, and door locks, as well as illuminated door sill plates and push-button start. A modern Pioneer head unit has been connected to the Shaker 1000 stereo system.
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and inset gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 27,764 miles, which the seller states is a true reading.
The 4.6-liter Modular V8 has been upgraded with a cold air intake, a Super Chips programmer, and a dress-up kit including bright and carbon fiber accents. The seller states that the car was serviced in late 2020 including fluids, brakes, and maintenance to the fuel injection system. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 5-speed automatic transmission and a 3.73-geared rear end.

The CARFAX report shows a history free of accidents or damage. The sale includes service records.
