This 1969 Triumph TR6 is an award-winning 2-door sports car powered by a 2.5-liter inline 6 cylinder engine coupled with a 4-speed manual transmission. After the seller bought the car out of California, it achieved the Best Retro/Mod award in the Britain on the the Green car show, and First in Class at the Hunt Country Classic car show in 2013. During it's 9 years in Virginia, it has been garage-stored in the wintertime. While the car is street legal, it has been setup for SCCA-style sports car racing through dual Weber carburetors, roll bars, a racing horn, and racing mirrors. The Triumph has roughly 3K miles on the odometer, and includes a clear title in the seller's name.
Finished in silver with a red racing stripe across the deck lid and hood, the Triumph features racing equipment including small racing windshields, leather hood straps, a hood scoop, a front splitter, mesh covers over the headlights, racing mirrors, and roll hoops behind each seat. The seller reports the glass and seals are in good condition, a dime-sized rust spot on the left side of the hood, and a scratch on the passenger side front fender.
The body-color matched aftermarket wheels are wrapped in four new 225/50R15 R888R Toyo Proxes tires while the hood and doors display red 9s in a white circle as part of the race car paint scheme. The seller reports the car received new brake bushings recently, and new steering rack hardware along with 4 brand new Toyo tires.
The interior is outfitted in black, gray, and wood accents. The black bucket seats are mounted above dark gray carpeting while the door panels and dashboard sport wood accents. The racing theme continues here with red 4-point racing seat belts, a Euro Racing horn, and a fire extinguisher installed to the right of the transmission tunnel. The seller reports the dashboard is in good condition and the electrical system wiring was repaired.
Instrumentation includes a speedometer, tachometer, and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, water pressure, and fuel. The odometer shows 3K miles, and the seller has put about 1600 of these miles on the car.
The 2.5-liter inline 6-cylinder engine is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission while the air and fuel mixture is handled by dual side-draft Weber carburetors. The seller reports that the car received recent service work, including an oil change, transmission oil and fluid change, a coolant flush, and a new distributor, plug wires, torque seat, valve cover gasket, and new clutch and throttle bearings. Also the seller installed a brand new battery last week.
Additional undercarriage photos can be found in the gallery.
A car cover, and goggles are included in the sale.

The most recent car services by certified mechanics io August 2, 2021 including 100 -point inspection, carburetors fine tune, timing belt calibration, spark plugs and wiring sequence inspection, oil and fluids change, new tire; etc and test drive a couple of times. No engine performance test was suggested by the mechanics However after I bought bought the car, it was inspected by another British car garage and they went through thoroughly every things including 6 cylinder compression tests. I remember the results were in acceptable range and they did not recommend any repairs for it. The compression test results were written on a piece of paper handed to me by the mechanics not on the service receipt . I can not locate that paper but I have the service receipt. All major service receipts that I have on hand under my ownership ( if requested) will be sent along with the title.
Has any performance work been done to the engine?
