This 1967 Pontiac Firebird hardtop coupe has been with the seller for 8 years and was the recipient of a custom interior and exterior restoration completed from the frame up in 2019. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of the factory-original 2-barrel carbureted 326 V8 and 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission while optional equipment includes power steering, power brakes, power windows, and an AM/FM radio. The car is located in Kissimmee, Florida with 65,200 original miles on the odometer and is now available at auction with a clean Florida title in the seller's name.
Custom Lamborghini Orange paint was applied as part of the restoration process in 2019 with black hood striping and spoilers front and rear to serve as accents. All badging, trim, and bumper chrome has been removed in favor of black hardware along with the addition of tinted taillights over dual exhaust tips on the rear fascia.
Approximately 50 miles have been driven on an alignment performed in June of 2020 which included the installation of custom black 5-spoke wheels and fresh rubber on all four corners. Power steering is equipped from the factory along with power brakes which feature discs on the front and drums on the rear.
The Lamborghini Orage and black theme extends into the interior featuring custom two-tone quilted leather upholstery covering the bucket seats, center console, door and dash panels over new black carpeting and Pontiac branded floor mats. Aftermarket stereo speakers come mounted in the doors powered by an AM/FM radio and power windows are equipped in the absence of an air conditioning system.
Factory instrumentation remains mounted in the gauge cluster including a 120-mph speedometer and fuel level dial which is noted to read incorrectly due to a sending unit issue, however, a new sending unit is offered in the sale. The 5-digit odometer is reported to have turned over 65,200 original miles driven.
Power comes from the factory-original 2-barrel carburetor equipped 250hp 326ci V8 and 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission which were left untouched while under restoration in 2019. No issues have been reported regarding the drivetrain and the oil was last changed during a June 2020 service.
