Vehicle Story

This 1971 Chevrolet El Camino has been described by the seller as a pristine example having recently gone through an extensive restoration process leaving nothing untouched. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a modified 350ci V8 crate engine paired with a TH350 automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear end while equipment includes power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning, custom stereo, and more. Located in Beach Lake, Pennsylvania, this 1971 El Camino is offered at auction with a clean Pennsylvania title.

Finished in red, features include black racing stripes, "SS" badging, hood pins, chrome bumpers, and trim pieces. The box is coated in a body-matching red bed liner and comes fitted with a covered spare tire and a protective mat over the bed. Recent refreshments to the exterior consist of all-new body mounts and bushings, hinges, wiper motor, and wiper assembly along with replacement weather striping.

Aftermarket 15-inch chrome 5-spoke mag wheels from American Racing are wrapped in a set of Hercules Road Tour 455 tires. Power steering is equipped along with power brakes which were recently serviced with new front rotors, rear drums, booster and master cylinder and the suspension has been completely refurbished front and rear with all-new bushings.

The interior is complete with fresh black vinyl upholstery over bench seating separated by a center console, new wiring throughout, an R-134 air conditioning conversion, tilt steering wheel, new door panels and headliner. Custom stereo components consist of an aftermarket Bluetooth-equipped head unit, four subwoofers and Kenwood dash panel speakers.

A 120-mph speedometer comes mounted in the dash between a 7k-rpm tachometer, analog clock, coolant temperature and fuel level dials. The 5-digit odometer has reportedly turned over 100,143 miles on the chassis.

Power comes from a modified 350ci V8 crate engine with approximately 1,400 miles on the completed build which includes a 9.3:1 compression 4-bolt main block, 1.94 "Fuelie" cylinder heads, Comp Cams camshaft, HEI distributor, and an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold. Shifting is managed by a TH-350 automatic transmission equipped with a B&M stall convertor and exhaust sent to its rear exit through a set of Hooker long tubes and a 2.5-inch Flowmaster system.

Underneath, the 12-bolt rear end can be found fitted with a chrome differential cover among matching chrome exhaust tips. Additional photos of the undercarriage and the rest of this restored 1971 El Camino have been made available for viewing in the image gallery.
