Vehicle Story

This 1967 Ford Mustang GT is powered by a Blue-Print 347ci Stroker V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Beginning in 2017, the car underwent a thorough restoration composed of rust remediation, fresh paint, and new parts. Performance upgrades include Marsh pulleys, an electric fan, a Champion 3-row aluminum radiator, a RAM flywheel and clutch, new wiring harness, power steering, and Wilwood braking components. On the inside are a stainless steel dash, Procar seats, new carpeting, an Ididit steering column, and a Hurst shifter. This Mustang has traveled 300 miles since the work was completed and is offered on a current New York registration.

As part of its 2-year long restoration, this fastback underwent rust remediation, bodywork, and a fresh coat of paint. Panels were sandblasted and etch-primed for rust protection prior to fitment, and the seller reports that all lines and gaps are to factory specifications thanks to the use of new old stock and rust-free doors, fenders, trunk, and hood matched with a single paint stick. The final process included the application of a polyester primer and burgundy paint, followed by wet sanding and buffing. GT stripes were then returned to factory locations and fog lights were fitted. The seller reports that no filler was used during the bodywork and adds that an NOS headlight assembly is installed.

14" American Racing Torque Thrust wheels are wrapped in new 195/70 Hankook Kinergy ST tires and the suspension has been refreshed with a new front end with a heavy-duty sway bar and rear composite leaf springs and air shocks. Braking has been improved with new Wilwood discs with slotted rotors at all four corners and a new Wilwood master cylinder and proportion valve, and the car is equipped with Borgeson power steering.

The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with a stainless steel dash with pad, sun visors, and a Hurst shifter for the 4-speed Toploader gearbox. While the carpeting and Procar seats are new, the back seat is original and the panels lining the interior underwent cosmetic refurbishment.

An Ididit steering column and 3-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel are mounted in front of several gauges, including a 120-mph speedometer and the factory GT-only 6k-rpm tachometer. The odometer is reported to show 300 miles, which represents distance traveled since the restoration was completed. True chassis mileage is unknown.

The original engine was replaced with a Blue-Print 347ci Stroker V8 from JEGS High Performance producing 425 horsepower. Engine power is directed to the rear through a 4-speed Toploader gearbox, a Currie rear axle with 3.89:1 gearing and traction lock inside a new pumpkin. The cooling system has been upgraded with an electric fan and a new Champion 3-row aluminum radiator, and the drivetrain benefits from new Marsh pulleys, an American Autowire wiring harness, a RAM flywheel and clutch plate, and a fuel sending unit.

The Mustang features new stainless steel mufflers and frame connectors. Additional photos of the undercarriage as well as photos documenting the restoration are available in the photo carousel.

The seller is offering a Marti Report along with the sale and two videos are available for viewing below.
